Hart Highlands was the biggest school that I went to during my 390 practicum experience, with double the number of students of Nukko Lake, which was interesting to see how different it was!

Hart Highlands felt similar to my own elementary school experience, kind of rural but ultimately suburban, with a huge range of students. I really enjoyed working with different teachers through my three weeks here, learning different strategies for classroom management, maintaining relationships, and having positive identity in a school. I loved working with students, one-on-one, in groups, as a class, creating meaningful connections with students is something that I hope I can work on as I continue through my learning in school, and further my learning in my career.
As Hart Highlands was my final observation school, I learned the importance of reflection, looking at how things were done in other schools compared to Hart Highlands, or even how I changed through the semester. I am thankful for the different experiences in each school, I am excited to learn more and more.
