Practicum: Sharing with Colleagues 2021-2022

  • I encouraged others to use the resources that I created for several lessons. One of my favourite lessons that I taught was my Sound Walk, I was able to collaborate with two of my peers to encourage their own sound walks, as well as adjust my own!
  • Often, discussions have led to fantastic ideas being percolated between groups – from EY to SY to humanities to sciences!

Volunteering: BC Educators Roundtable 2022

  • Volunteered alongside three peers to help teacher educators navigate UNBC, as well as setting up technology, participated in workshops to provide a teacher candidate’s perspective, and helped orientate presenters.

Practicum Involvement – May 2022

  • Participated in the Grandparents Breakfast at my practicum school, where I was able to meet and get to know students’ grandparents and parents in a positive setting – it was also a fantastic way to become better acquainted with staff at the school as we started cooking the pancakes at 6AM!

This picture was taken at my practicum schools parking lot at 5:58 AM – it was an absolute joy to get to spend that time at school and meeting families of students!!

Volunteering: Orientation 2022

  • Led new Teacher Candidates through orientation activities at UNBC (September 6, 2022) as well as Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park (September 7, 2022)
