Education 390: Observational Practicum

This practicum was at Pineview Elementary, a rural school with 5 divisions. There were three separate visits on October 5, 12, and 19th, and we were placed in a grade 3/4 classroom for the majority of the visits.

The school is inviting the moment you open the door, there is a massive mural that was painted by previous students that went to Pineview in the 1990s, which is bright, happy, and shows that sense of community and legacy. Many students had family memebers that had attended the school years before, and that is reflected in this mural as well as the school photos on the walls.

Pineview was a great school to start my teaching journey, I am thankful for having the opportunity to learn and grow in this vibrant school – I loved how community focused this school was.
